How It Works
Wildwatch's AI identifies, scores, and tracks wildlife across your property — with confidence ratings that tell you exactly how much to trust each result.
Link your trail camera accounts — Reolink, Spypoint, Tacticam — and Wildwatch pulls new images automatically. No manual uploads. No SD card juggling. Photos flow from field to platform without touching your phone.
Cameras with cloud accounts sync automatically. New photos appear in minutes.
No cloud plan? Upload photos or ZIP files directly. Drag-and-drop or bulk import.
Every image is analyzed by Wildwatch's detection engine. It identifies the animal, draws a bounding box, and assigns a confidence score. Only images that meet the confidence threshold (70%+) advance to enrichment.
Species identification with precise bounding box coordinates and a numerical confidence score.
Below 70% confidence, the image is flagged — not guessed. No false positives propagated downstream.
Images that pass the confidence gate enter Wildwatch's enrichment layer. Using species-specific rubrics, the AI evaluates sex, maturity, body condition, and trophy indicators — each with its own confidence label. Boone & Crockett trophy scoring is available for whitetail today, with scoring for other species in development.
Enrichment is tailored per species — Boone & Crockett trophy scoring is available for whitetail today, with scoring for other species in development. Not one-size-fits-all.
Every enrichment field is labeled with a confidence tier: green (90%+), yellow (70-89%), or red (<70%). You always know what to trust.
Enriched sightings accumulate into individual animal profiles. You confirm which sightings belong to the same animal — using natural markers like antler shape, coat patterns, and body features — to build a per-animal history across cameras and seasons. Automatic re-identification is in development.
The same buck photographed at two cameras three months apart? Confirm them as one animal to build its history. Automatic re-identification is in development.
Each animal's profile grows over time — sighting history, score progression, movement patterns, seasonal behavior.
Trust Model
Most platforms hide their AI behind a black box. Wildwatch tells you exactly what it knows, how confident it is, and where it drew the line between observation and inference.
Every AI determination — species, sex, maturity, score — is visible in the interface alongside the source image. Nothing is silently assumed.
Green (90%+), Yellow (70-89%), Red (<70%). Applied to every enrichment field individually, not just the overall result. You see exactly where the AI is certain and where it hedged.
Override any AI determination. Your corrections are first-class signals that improve the record — and future suggestions. The AI assists; you decide.
Confidence Scoring
Every enrichment field is individually scored. A single sighting might have high-confidence species identification but low-confidence score estimation — and Wildwatch shows you both.
The AI's determination is well-supported by image quality, visible features, and species-specific indicators. Reliable for reporting and decision-making.
Plausible determination but limited by image angle, distance, or partial occlusion. Useful as a signal, worth verifying before acting on it.
Insufficient visual evidence for a reliable determination. The field is flagged, not estimated. Review the image and apply your own judgment.
